Andy and I did an interview and are featured on Ponoko.com’s blog today.  What is Ponoko?  That’s where we get all of our tiny textile tools and frame looms laser cut.  They saw our designs and asked them to tell them more about we are doing.  It’s a fun collaboration for us – Andy does all of the technical drawing and layout to prep files to upload to their site, I focus on getting the design just right in form and function.

Read & Red

Since I presented two seminar sessions at the recent Minnesota Quilters Conference, I got to have a piece in the Faculty section of the exhibition hall.  This is “Read & Red” and is another interactive QR code art piece.  This time, instead of zapping you off to a website, the QR code in this piece contains a secret message and the whole thing is a bit of a pun.  Unfortunately, in the location where this was hanging at the show, there just wasn’t enough light for the [read more…]

6 Things I learned from my daddy:

1.  My love of the guitar.  I have been listening to jazz fingerstyle guitar since before I was born.  I think it is hard-wired in to my brain that a little Chet Atkins or Johnny Smith can fix almost any stressful day.
