Valentines projects seem to be in the air. Here’s a link to one I did last year – a free Quilted Valentine‘s tutorial.
Last Valentine’s and this year as well, Etsy made a call for handmade valentines to distribute to seniors with a Meals-on-Wheels program. I made a couple of these cards and sent them off last year and will probably make more this year.
Thank You to everyone who weighed in on my e-Book survey! The favorites were “Stuff to make for boys. The cool auntie’s guide to things your nephews won’t hate. (Making things for girls is easy).” and “Ornaments. Whimsical tiny things for your tree or little gifts.”, which happen to be my favorites too! I may also be working on that Digital File to Fabric one because I am teaching a class on that in June and I would like to offer that to my students since I know I won’t be able to get everything covered in the 45 minutes I have for class.
I was the substitute teacher for a knitting class with teens this afternoon. I worked on this scarf because it was something I could pick up and put down a bunch. The girls were really intrigued.

I made this cute tam for my friend Danielle for Christmas and after I posted pictures on Ravelry, several people asked me to share the chart. So here it is.
Mostly digital artwork this week.
Updated etsy shop banner and redesigned the front pages for all of my patterns. Now they look cute no matter what size or aspect ratio they are cropped to in the various views on the site. I also put together a unified color scheme – 8 colors that coordinate with the banner.

I am taking an online class about publishing an e-book. I have been thinking about this for a long time and I think it could be awesome. One of the things we are talking about in class this week is market research. So I want to give you guys some ideas for books and let you tell me what direction you think I should go. I can’t tell you what this is yet, but you can see the embroidery in progress (a whipped back stitch). I was posting these Wednesday updates pretty regularly and I stopped for some reason. Time to bring them back for 2011.
