In celebration of discovering my new-old favorite sewing machine, I am going to give away one of these little ornaments…
(your prize will be made up special just for you, so the fabrics won’t match this photo exactly)
To enter, just leave a comment about your favorite sewing or crafting tool (sewing machine, thimble, scissors or humble seam ripper? You tell me!) I will randomly draw for a winner on September 24.
Um, let’s see… My ReadUpon book holder is way up there, since it allows me to read while I knit. My portable digital scale (for figuring out how much yarn I have left) is pretty darn handy, too.
The bent tip Chibi needle – perfect for grafting toes!
My favorite sewing tool is a chopstick that I’ve sanded to a fine but rounded point. It can turn corners inside out like nothing else I’ve used.
My favorite is the little pair of stork scissors that I bought 30 years ago – they were a treat, and they still are, and I still carry them in the tiny leather pouch they came in.
I came over here from Chris’, and m fav thing is my Knit-Picks double pointed needles, so sharp and lovely.
I”m not very adept at sewing and eschew it whenever possible. My favorite knitting tools are my swift and ball winder though.
I’m surprised at how much I like a gift I received, an electronic row counter for knitting. It seemed too high-tech, but I find the little beep after I click a row done really satisfying and it has a ribbon so I can wear it around my neck. Because after all, if I can’t keep track of what row I’m on, I’m bound to lose the row counter as well.
My favorite tool? My Twisted Sisters Sock book for color inspiration.
My NOT favorite tool is the set of Denise knitting needles that I hate more with each passing day. That being said, I love my little black sheep tape measure and stitch markers and my addi turbo needles.h
I love my ball winder. And my home made swift. My knitpicks needles could on the list too. I also loved my husquavarna sewing machine I had before Katrina but my little half size Kenmore that I have now can get the job done too. Are we supposed to pick just one? ooops
My Chibi needle given to me by Chris just as I was knitting my first sock :)
My favorite sewing tool is a regular needle. I want a sewing machine, just haven’t gotten to it yet. So right now, everything I sew is by hand.
Love it! I have a favorite chopstick too! Knitting wise, I am very fond of my first addis and I have a tiny little crochet hook that I keep around and use for all kinds of things sewing and knitting related.
my favorite sewing gadget is my big sis…….turns out the perfect thing every time I use it………..can’t beat a tool like that. :)
love you too! (i had a rotten day, thank you.)
you want me to pick just ONE ???
okay, my lovely Pfaff that I bought last year
no wait – my light box
no – my stork scissors
umm – the hemostats I use for turning fiddly things inside out and for stuffing teeny points
bugger it
really it would have to be my rotary cutter and attendant rulers and mat. Yeah that’s it – rotary cutter and gear :]
My fave sewing tool has to be my old Toyota electric sewing machine — shamefully neglected since I took up knitting. :o
Like the “baby sis” commenter my favourite sewing tool is more like my favourite sewing people. Put me in a room with my sewing circle and I can do anything. I think everyone deserves the support of their own sewing circle.
