The best handmade gift I have ever gotten: I love a lot of pretty awesome handmade gifts so I will share two favorites: My engagement ring. My husband folded an origami butterfly ring out of silvery paper and gave me that when he proposed. I also have a carved and painted tiny wooden giraffe that my dad made for my mom when they were dating/newlyweds. Last year for Christmas, my mom decided that the little giraffe needed to come stay with me.
The handmade gift I am proudest of: Usually that is the last thing I finished. So right now I am proudest of a beautiful lace cowl I made for my friend Lynn’s birthday. She is a pretty stellar knitter, so I worked really hard to make sure it would be something she would love.

crayon rolls for all my friends kids.
:)
Last year, I made my mom a big hexagons-square afghan. It turned out so beautifully, and she loved it. It took me sooooo long to make, but seeing her face made it all worth it!
It tends to be the last thing I made, which is a bucket bag from a Keykalou pattern!
Thanks!
My sister made me a lovely craft notebook for Christmas last year.
Last Christmas I received a book from my mom that she had turned into a secret hiding box. I love it and it’s so cute!
Very nice, thank you! :)
I made a special apron for my mom that she loved, but I love sewing clothing for my kids most of all!
I haven’t received many handmade gifts but have made heaps for others. I haven’t gifted a quilt I made for a friend but it would make me happy to think that she’ll use it.
I’m pretty proud of the quilt I made for my cousin’s baby. It’s my very first and I’m still a bit surprised that it turned out well enough to gift!
I’m most proud of the sock monkey blanket I made my niece.
My favorite handmade gift was a quillow that my Grandma made for me for Christmas when I was 11. I still have it and my son uses it now!
I think I’m proudest of a counted cross stitch I gave my soon to be mother-in-law a few years ago. At the time it was the biggest stitch I’d ever done, a beautiful design from Derwentwater, and it turned out beautifully!
Thanks for the giveaway

I made a lounge robe for my godson that I am very proud of!
I can’t say that I’ve received many hand-made gifts, and nothing as amazing as your engagement ring! I have to say my favorite thing I’ve given so far was a Patchwork Horse – button jointed soft toy. It was amazing!
My favorite handmade gift to receive (and give) is handspun yarn. I am really proud of the quilts I made for my sons and the one that is 99% finished right now for my sister. :)

My favorite hand-made gift that I received was knitted baby booties from a dear friend of my mother’s, who died of cancer less than a year later. Also very special to me are some toddler-sized sweaters knitted for me as a child by a dear friend of my grandmother’s. Of gifts I have given, I am proudest of those that get a lot of use: aprons, coasters, doll beds, and little girl dresses have been the biggest hits so far.
Best I’ve ever gotten was an afghan from my meme…she was an expert at it, I just wish I could have learned from her.
I am most proud of my Christmas tree “pants”. I had wanted to make one for so long and finally got the courage to do it!
I made a quilt for my highschool sweetheart before we left for different colleges…..it has been on my bed since we married. he swears thats why he couldnt stay away.
the best handmade gift i have already given is a large rag blanket that I completely surprised my MIL with for her birthday. I’m working on an awesome gift for my boys–a road mat! for their cars..
The best gift I ever made was a gigantic blanket shaped like Nemo. I gave that to my son last Christmas. Thanks for the chance to win, that book is on my wish list!
The best handmade gift I received was a necklace and earrings set.
I am pretty proud of the diaper bag I’m making for my best friend. It’s almost done!
Tough one: either the tulle ball gown or my recent ruffle overalls. Neither one of the most complex but I was really pleased with them both.
Bonus: I loved a hand print and poem my daughter gave me a couple of years ago.
My best gift I ever received was a jewelry box my husband made me for our first anniversary.
I’ve decided my proudest creation this season is the tea wallet I made for my gluten free friend. It was simple and quick but gave her great joy. I love that she loved it.
Happy Christmas!!
Best Handmade gift Received: My great aunt just gave us a bunch of knitted doll clothes. I think it’s awesome that we’ll be able to have those & pass them down through the generations.
Gift I’m Proudest Of: A quilt I made for my mom from my daughter’s baby clothes. We were moving 1700 miles away & I knew she was going to miss her only grandchild. It didn’t turn out 100% perfect but it was the perfect gift.
Thanks for the opportunity! I’m proudest of a baby blanket I had knit for my nephew. It was beautiful and one of my first major projects.
my fave handmade gift that i received was a cowl that someone knit me ..its so squishy and the colors are gorgeous
my favorite handmade gift that i recieved were a pair of naturaly diyed pure wool slippers that my grandma made for me. i love them!
The best gift I’ve been given is a quilt my MIL made me when I had surgery a few Christmases ago.
Thank you so much for the chance to win!
I made an elephant for my boyfriend for his birthday this year (which he loved) and I was so proud of it. It turned out so much better than I expected.
I’m proudest of the baby hats I’ve made my daughters and their quilts….something to have with them always:)
Thanks for a great giveaway:)
I don’t know that I’ve received any handmade gifts but I have given quite a few quilts away that I’m very proud of and am working on one right now for my sis-in-law and new nephew. Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m proud of the Amy Butler Birdie Sling Bag that I made. It was my first large scale bag. Totally worth it after all of the time spent interfacing.
Best handmade gift… The zip pouch I made for my friend Rachel, because she uses it all the time and I like things to be useful so I’m proud of that one. Plus it hasn’t fallen apart in a year of full time use!
The handmade baby gifts I have received for my son are the best things I have ever got! I received a gorgeous alphabet quilt, sweaters, blankets, knit socks and some beautiful clothing! We are so blessed! :)
I made a set of baby shoes that I loved. I spent so much time making them and they are absolutely adorable!
A diaper bag for my sister was a hard but rewarding project.. She loved it and people stop her to ask her about it.
Congrats on having your patterns published — very cool! I was very proud of the diaper bag I made for my sister earlier this year — mostly because it was HARD! :)
My mom collects buttons and requested one with a dog wearing a hat on it for her birthday. Of course, I couldn’t find anything like that. So, I embroidered a scrap of linen with a dog wearing a hat and turned it into a button. My mom LOVED it! Your giveaway is fantastic! Thanks for the chance to win!!
I made a robe for my SD last year – and am still proud I could sew clothing!
My favorite projects have been the quilts I’ve made for my kids – so sweet to see them snuggled up each night! Love the engagement ring story – so sweet!
Several Christmases ago, my oldest daughter wanted a mermaid fairy doll. The only mermaid fairy dolls were Barbie Mermaidia dolls which I did not like. So I set out to find something to make. I made one using the Mae pattern at Bit of Whimsy dolls before she even had a mermaid doll as one of the patterns. I crocheted curlique hair (red of course). I made her tail so it could slip off and a tied tutu(since she was a fairy too!) out of different color tulle and ribbon. I made her wings out of some gorgeous sea green batik with swirls of bright pink, purples, etc in it. The wings were designed to be removable. Her top was made out of wool felt and embroidered to look like a bra top. It took me months to create her and was one of the best things I made.
My favorite hand made gifts have been crocheted blankets for each of my kids that my best friend made. And the baby quilts my aunt-in-law made for each of the kids. Such great gifts we will cherish forever. Thanks so much for the chance to win!
The gift I was happiest to receive was a fairly simple flannel blanket my coworker sewed for me before my first baby was born. I was so happy that she had made something and it was a beautiful fabric. I didn’t know her very well at the time, but we have since become very good friends even though we don’t work together anymore.
My favorite handmade gift I have given would be the quilts I made for my oldest two kids. They were my very first quilts…ever! Not great by any sense of the word, but they love them and so do I!
2 handmade quilts from my mother
The gift I’m most proud of is the first quilt I designed!! :)
Thanks for the giveaway + merry Xmas!
The best gift I ever made I only partly made – the needlepoint seat for an oak chair with lion heads on the arms. I did not design the needlepoint, but I worked for a year with that seat on a big frame. My mother did the back and we each did one of the arms. It was a gift for my father’s 70th birthday to replace the original needlepoint that his mother had stitched in the early 1900’s.
The best handmade gift ever received was an amazing afghan a friend knit for me. It was an Irish knit pattern and it would have taken me years to finish if I had tried to knit it myself. It’s really just so beautiful.
my best friend once made me crochet vest, it’s sooo lovely.
