Bloggers participate by offering a giveaway on their blog and then linking up to the SewMamaSew site so that everyone shows up together as a big giveaway party. So be sure to jump over there and browse the other giveaways too!
THE BIG PRIZES
These were a big hit last year, so I am giving away two again this year: Little Loom Kits. Have you ever wanted to learn how to weave? I designed these looms and have them lasercut from bright colored acrylic plastic. They are a simple frame style loom, just right for making coasters and little squares of woven fabric. Knitters – you can use up all of your scrap yarn! The “kit” comes with the complete instructions, the loom, three needle-style shuttles and a “beater” comb for packing the rows together. They are fun and easy to learn.
RUNNERS UP
And because I know it is just really fun to win something, I am going to make a few more people happy and draw some random names to receive a “High in Fiber” bandana. These are hand-dyed and silkscreened from my sheepy illustration, 100% cotton, machine washable. I use these bandanas for everything – as a tea towel, to wrap up my scissors before I throw them in my knitting bag, as a picnic plate/napkin, keep one in the car for spills, as a handkerchief, and my husband wears one under his bike helmet to keep the sweat out of his eyes. Darn useful.

(Edited: So sorry, the blog was down for a few hours on Wednesday night! We are back now.)
I’ve recently discovered silk/alpaca blend which is my current favorite. I love the way it drapes, and knitting with it just makes my hands happy :-)
I like lots of fibers but lately I’ve been knitting with a silk/bamboo blend that just is so wonderful to knit with.
Thanks for such a fun giveaway! I’m looking over your blog now =)
I love linen especially in sewing clothes. I like the way it gets softer and softer with each wash and how it is breathable.
What a neat giveaway, would love to try it! I LOVE cotton :)
i love linen cotton the best.
I love to wear cotton, and that’s probably what I use most as well, so that’s my favorite, for now! Thanks for the giveaway!
I’m mostly into cotton fabric right now, but have tried just about every crafting activity at some point. I’ve been teaching my oldest daughter how to needlepoint. I think weaving would be a fun activity for us to do together. Thanks for the chance to enter!
My favorite fabric is cotton, because it is so versatile for all kind of crafting projects.
Great giveaway! I’d love to use the loom with my nephew. We could have fun together. I really love wool–all breeds, even the coarse ones!
I have always loved silk – it’s a little more difficult to work with but it is worth it
Cotton…versatile, easy to care for and accessible. Thanks for the fun! :)
These are awesome! I would love to think up about a million projects to make with the mini loom. I think my favorite fiber is definitely cotton for sewing and probably wool for knitting (although bamboo and silk are lovely too). Thanks for the chance!
my favourite fiber is wool… as a knitter i appreciate its magical abilities a LOT! :)
thanks for sharing this great giveaway. i would SO love to make woven coasters as presents.
My favourite fibre has to be wool. It is the most versatile and useful of all fibres and there are so many breeds of sheep giving different types of wool that I would be happy knitting with wool for the rest of my life.
I love linen. The more you wash it and use it, the softer it gets!

I really enjoy the slinkiness that bamboo gives but I’m more likely to use linen to sew.
linen-it’s beautiful to sew with, embroider on, and it gets softer and softer with time. thanks!
wow! I’ve always wanted a loom! In fact, I went to Home Depot to buy some dowels and make a frame – it turned out to be a disaster.. I really hope I can win this loom!
Thanks! the loom looks like fun. I am not much of a knitter, but I love the feel of a bamboo blend that I used to make my nephew a baby blanket before he was born. I am more a quilter than knitter, so I knit up striped squares, learned to crochet for a white edging, and then sewed it all together – I don’t think that I could handle knitting a blanket any other way!

Cotton is wonderful, I love working with it no matter what the medium is.
I really dig on some bamboo material. I’ve tinkered with both the yarn and the fabric. :)
More than anything I love wool. It’s so versatile and it feels the best to knit with.
What a fun giveaway! I’m pretty basic, so I’ll stick with cotton as my favorite. :) Thanks for the chance!
My favorite fiber… hmmm…. so many to choose from. I guess I would say linen- that’s for general sewing- clothing, cloth napkins, etc…. For cloth diapers, I LOVE LOVE LOVE cotton sherpa. And of course I love quilting and other cotton wovens. I really just love fabric! LOL.
Thank you for the giveaway!
My favorite is wool, but not the overly scratchy kind! It’s so nice for knitting….doesn’t hurt my hands like cotton yarns do.
I have some bamboo knit that I adore – – it’s so smooth and silky!
Thanks for the chance.
My favorite fiber is wool – any wool! So far I’ll I’ve spun is BFL, Colonial, Merino, and some unknown wool that came with my wheel. Of those, I guess the Colonial was the most fun to spin. (:
For knitting, I actually also adore wool but have a growing fondness for organic cotton.
Hi! What a great giveaway :)
I love wool. My fave breeds are merino, polwarth and BFL.
I am also on a wool/silk spinning kick. A delicious combination!
My favorite finer is a sustainable finer. I love organic cotton and bamboo. I think bamboo just had a soft, smooth, slightly silky feel.
Cotton is my favorite.
I like Cotton. Its easy to sew and great for bags or childrens clothes .
Thank you and have a nice sunny week !
These look like fun! :) My favorite fiber is wool. #1, I adore sheep, but #2, it’s so wonderful to work with (knitting & crochet). It doesn’t dry out my hands like cotton does. :)
Fave fiber is currently cotton. I love the high fiber bandana and I would love to learn to weave. Sometimes I feel so one dimensional b/c mostly only quilt and embroider.
My favorite is cotton because it’s so versatile. I always have some on hand for crafting!
I’m a spinner and I love wool, but lately I’ve been introduced to alpaca. It’s amazing! So much fuzz! I’ve just spun what I think will work as sock yarn using an alpaca/merino/silk blend. I’m going to crochet some yoga socks and I am so excited!
my favorite fibers are merino and BFL. I started spinning with merino but recently have really enjoyed BFL.
cotton…it’s what i’m most familiar with. :)
I like cotton-it’s so perfect for everything and washes well, which is important with a toddler around!
Lately I’ve been using a lot of cottons and bamboos. They are sturdy, yet they drape, they’re soft and are great on their own or in a blend. Just love them.
I love the feel of really good quality cotton and bamboo yarn.
I think your looms are very nice. I hope to win one and try it. Thanks and have a blessed day.
I love silk and cotton :)
I love linen! I like the texture of it
I love cotton because it’s soft and it’s natural.
I love silk because I know it will never irritate my very sensitive skin.
I would have to say that bamboo is my new favourite fabric. I sell cloth mama products and bamboo is the most wonderful, absorbent, soft, fabric to use for inserts. I buy A LOT of it! :)
i love all types of organic wool/fiber..especaially fond of alpaca and merino :)
My favorite fabric is cotton :-)
it’s amazing how things appear in front of you when you’re ready to see them…i love color and fiber and have quilted for years. in the past few years i’ve had such a yen to learn to weave. last fall i was “loaned” a floor loom, it’s so soothing to do yet gets my creative juices flowing too. i’ve just fallen in love with tencel – graceful, flowing, and saturated w/color.
I love cotton and flannel, probably because of familiarity.
