Pricing & Booking

Price Ranges for Classes & Workshops

Because there are so many factors that must go in to pricing a class, I am providing these price ranges as a guideline for your budgeting purposes. If you are interested in booking me to teach for your class, online meeting, museum, guild, group or conference, please contact me and I will put together a proposal for you with an exact budget and cost for technology, teaching and travel based on your venue, class size and set-up.

Lectures • $75-$150

Make Something Craft Classes • $200 (plus materials fee per student)

Half Day or Demo/Q&A Online Classes • $125 – $250

Daily Rate for 1-5 day Classes • $400-$600

ONLINE

I love teaching online. Zoom is my preferred platform, but I am open to using other technology. I have a Zoom account and can host the class or workshop; you do not need to have a Zoom account for your group or organization. I am set up in my studio with lighting, audio, video and overhead camera so I can teach nearly anything in my class listings as a virtual option.

For online sessions, the ideal class size is not more than:

• 25 for make something craft classes
• 50 people for demo/Q&A classes
• 80 people for lectures

This allows me to be able to answer student questions, help individuals one-on-one and provide a quality class experience. I don’t want to have anyone frustrated because I was not able to answer their questions.

IN-PERSON

I am located in Minneapolis MN. For venues outside of the Minneapolis metro area, the host organization is expected to cover reasonable travel and housing expenses. For venues more than 20 miles from Minneapolis, I charge for mileage at the current IRS rate.

Most classes have a materials or supply fee that is paid directly by students to me. Generally that fee is $5 – $35 per student. I can set up an online checkout for students to be able to pay that fee before class.

For in-person sessions, the ideal class size is not more than:

• 25 for make something craft classes
• 25 people for half-day classes
• 75 people for lectures

This allows me to be able to answer student questions, help individuals one-on-one and provide a quality class experience. I don’t want to have anyone frustrated because I was not able to answer their questions.

If you are an individual and not part of an organization, guild, non-profit or museum and you are just interested in having me teach in your area, please reach out! Sometimes all it takes is having someone to help with local logistics and we can put together something awesome.

Scheduling & Promotion

Making art and teaching is my full-time job, so I am fairly flexible. As soon as an event is confirmed, I try to add it to my Events calendar, so you can see when I am already booked for other events. The farther in advance you can schedule something, the more I can help you get the word out to potential students. I have an email list and social media presence and I want to use them to help promote your class! Please help me be able to do that.
