* I found this post today from Anna Maria Horner for a simple cute skirt.  I don’t need instructions for this, but sometimes it is super nice to have someone do the thinking for you.  I think this will become a go-to skirt pattern for summer camp.  And I have a piece of butterfly fabric that is begging to be this skirt as soon as the temperature approaches something above zero.

* Making a new apron today from this pattern: Butterick 5263.  It has an amazingly awful photo on the pattern cover, but it is a great smock style apron.  I hate things that hang on the back of my neck like apron ties and lanyards of keys/id’s so I love this pattern.  My other one is looking a little the worse for wear, so it’s time for a new one.  I teach messy things, so I love having a cute apron to wear.

* Tomorrow I am taking a class on dyeing a “Color Wheel in Wool”.  I haven’t worked much with wool or acid dyes, so this should be fun.

* And be sure to mark your calendars for the Great Backyard Bird Count. A fun way to waste time watching your bird feeders.  My mom and sisters and I usually have a contest to see who sees the most unusual stuff.  (Mom always wins)
