Let's make a pair of small notebooks with embroidered covers. In this online/Zoom class you'll create two notebooks with Kraftex paper covers. Kraftex is a heavy weight but flexible paper that feels a little like soft leather. It's washable, so it's great for holding up to wear and tear on notebook covers and it's fun to stitch! The notebooks are 3x5 inches each and stitched at the top to make a ledger style book. You will learn an embroidery stitch called the sorbello stitch to embellish the covers; it looks nice from the inside and outside of the page. We'll tear down drawing paper from larger sheets, creating a torn or deckle edge on each sheet. (This is a great skill you can use to recycle larger sheets of paper for future projects.)
