All my my works-in-progress right now are in a “time out” for bad behavior.
• I cut the center panel of a velvet skirt with the nap going the opposite way from the rest. Do I rip it out and re-cut? I haven’t decided. It’s a cute skirt. Will anybody notice? Why wasn’t I paying attention when I cut it out?
• The green ombre shawl has a very tedious (though pretty) cast off. And I am afraid that when I get it cast off I am not going to like the shape. Its a short fat triangle. Will I be able to block it into something better?
• The baby sweater gift for a friend. It might be too obnoxious of a color combination: stripes of orange & yellow in 5 shades: butter, daffodil, kraft macaroni & cheese, tomato soup, bittersweet. It might be cheery and fun. Does it look like something from a church bazaar?
So now I am stuck. I want to work on something. Andy is off at an oboe lesson and I have the evening and the house to myself. But I don’t want to work on any of these things until I have resolved what to do with their issues. A dilemma….
(I was going to put a cute photo of Andy in his tux with this post, but WordPress seems to be having an issue. So you will have to use your imagination.)
Well on those really bad days when all my projects are going south on me I usually resort to cleaning and organizeing my craft stuff. Sometimes touching the fabrics and other things in my stash helps me destress and find my way again. Hang in there…projects go bad sometimes. i always second guess myself when I make a gift for someone else too!
