I promised a photo of this finished skirt and here it is. It is a simple a-line with a side zipper. Made from linen-cotton canvas, digitally printed at Spoonflower. And just for fun, I also included the photo I started with so you can see the transformation.
Posted a link to this on the Spoonflower Facebook page… hope that’s ok! I also owe you an email.
Wow that is beautiful! I never thought about using floral photos large scale like this! Great work!
What a wonderful idea! This picture works so well on the skirt. I really love it!
Awesome! I love designing large like this. It’s like wearing art. You did a great job on the transformation from photo to graphic image.
The skirt design is great, too.
wicked good!
You just never know what a whimsical Christmas present from your crazy mother might turn in to, do you?
Wow! That looks wonderful on you and what a beautiful print from a gorgeous photo!!
Not to sound like your bratty little sister…but personally I’m more impressed that you own a pink shirt. Though if i’m not mistaken the toes match the sandals ;)
I think the toenails are turquoise. I actually own three pink shirts that I can think of, but no red. I don’t like red.
I seem to remember a “Wily” pink shirt from a long time ago too..
I love the skirt!! Its really colorful and creative!!!!!
WONDERFUL! I have been wanting to put my art (oil paintings) on textiles for years…..yet I seldom sew…maybe you could guide me? LOL
How much material did you need??
The skirt fits easily on a yard of the linen/cotton, which is about 60 in wide.
