Welcome to Blog Giveaway Day. I am participating, along with eleventy-seven other bloggers, to give away fun handmade and crafty stuff via the Sew,Mama,Sew blog.
Here’s what you need to do to enter.
1. Make a comment on this post answering this question: What is your favorite handmade object?
(Don’t worry if your comment doesn’t show up right away. I have to approve it first. I will do that whenever I can throughout the day.)
2. Make sure I can contact you. Enter your email address in the comment form. There’s a place for it. It will not be published, so no one but me will see it. I will not send you spam. But I do need a way to contact you if you are a winner.
What is my favorite handmade object? My collection of handmade Christmas ornaments. I have ones made by my mom, sisters, aunts, neighbors, me, my husband, nieces & nephews and friends. Every one has a story. Every one is different.
What can you win?
Three random winners will get a custom alphabet ornament. You tell me the letter you would like and your favorite color. I will make it custom for you. (Those in the picture are keytags, I will put a long ribbon loop on your ornament.)
One random winner will get a copy of the new book, One Yard Wonders! I am a contributor to the book, so I am already a big fan and I have an extra copy. See my post from a few days ago for a tour of the book and my projects. I will sign it for you if you want me to.
The small print.
If you don’t answer the question in your comment or I can’t contact you, your entry is disqualified.
I will ship internationally.
Contest is open until Sunday December 6 at midnight CST. Anybody who comments before then is entered.
Comments are now closed. Thanks for entering. I will announce winners soon!
My favorite handmade thing is the absolutely adorable apron my wonderful sister sewed for me. It matches my kitchen perfectly with the yellow lemons and yellow stripes! So fun! Thanks for the giveaway!
My favorite handmade object is a very cute pincushion that I made using a small red bowl from Anthropologie and a floral vintage fabric that belonged to a 91 years old quilter.
I use it almost everyday. :)
Oh my it is so hard to pick just one thing! There is the furry blue lion made by my mom when I was 6, the 3 ft tall Raggedy Ann by my grandma and the angel made by my eldest when he was 3! Each are very dear to me and bring back precious memories!

My favourite hand made thing is a quilt I made for my son, I am not a very experienced stitcher but he loves it!
My favorite handmade item was a quilt for my grandson. It was special to me because I knew he would be moving- across country in a few months. I wanted him to take a part of me- and it would be next to him every night when he fell asleep. He is 8 years old now- the blanket is worn and I know that it was loved. Your giveaways are so cute- but would really love that book.
To date my favorite would have to be a crocheted monkey that my daughter and I made together. I love the ornaments, I teach preschool from home, and they would be great on the tree! Thanks for the chance.
My favorite handmade object is an old patchwork quilt that I found at a “drop n’ swap”. It’s truly a quilt of neccessity and wasn’t made for beauty–but it is so wonderfully warm and has so much personality to it. We use it everyday in our living room.
My favorite is either a full sized log cabin quilt I made this past year or the colored pencil roll I made two years ago…The quilt was a huge undertaking for me and for once it payed off and the colored pencil roll was so much fun because of all the different stunning colors I got to work with in one project.
Great give away :)
I have a lovely set of embroidered days of the week kitchen towels, made by my great grandmother. they make me smile.
I have two favorite objects… one is a bag… any bag… made by hand! It shows individuality and creativity and I think they are so much better than anything you can buy! I am hoping to get better at making them!
The second is fabric buckets…. they are so pretty and SO USEFUL! I received one recently and love it… hoping I can make them soon….
BOY I could REALLY use your book… I am still learning and all information is appreciated!

My favorite handmade things are those made by my mom, particularly christmas stuff…. now that I’m getting into all things crafty I have a new appreciation for all the handmade stuff she created.
I think, like many others, my favorite homemade craft is a large Double Wedding Ring quilt my grandmother made for me when I was very young. I’ve had it on my bed from when I first received it, and it is still there, although almost everything around it has changed (and it’s a little worse for wear).
Thanks for participating in the giveaway! I love your ornaments.
I just recently made a bracelet that I absolutely love to wear.
Thanks for your giveaway.

My favorite handmade item would have to be a heart ornament that my niece made me out of beads, it holds special memories.
My favorite handmade object is a quilt I made for my daughter. I was determined to learn to quilt and relearn to sew. It sparked something in me & 2 years later I have a sewing business & Etsy shop! All because of that quilt… When I see it I see so much that God has done in my life over these years.
